I’ve let this blog go in recent months. It was more exciting to update when I was doing more than staring at pages that come together more slowly, it feels, than glaciers.
I am writing, I am doing something, but it’s all at my desk. I’ve come to a lull in my career — I hope only until I finish this monstrous darling Thing that I love so much, this novel/baby that I’m putting blood into — and to keep myself occupied when not wringing out the words, editing fiction with a company that does right by me.
I can’t push music into paper, and this project is not one that would benefit from being multimedia — it rejects technology in its presentation, and when it’s done and living and people can read it I hope they understand why. So, for anyone who looks hard enough, here is a song I’ve borrowed for a funeral.
I’ll be back as soon as I can. It won’t let me rush.
