Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief
Going Clear: Scientology, Hollywood, and the Prison of Belief by Lawrence Wright
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The most valuable thing about this book is the care with which it was sourced: the Church of Scientology has no grounds upon which to base a lawsuit against the author or publisher.

Given the litigious leanings of the Church, this is about as good a recommendation for this book’s veracity as any–which is really important, because this book is SHOCKING.

Please read this book if you have any friends or family members in the Church, or if you’re thinking of becoming a Scientologist.

If you’re just looking for criticism of Scientology, look here. It’s better than Operation Clambake, and a LOT better than gossip on the internet.
